The Word On Missions

"But when Jesus saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd." Matthew 9:36

“And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick."
Matthew 14:14

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."
Matthew 25:35-36

Jesus saw the conditions of those around Him, He saw (was perceptive) about the issues of people and what He saw, He was moved by, He was moved with compassion to do something about the conditions of people. Are you?

Operation Changing The World Outreach & Missions

Pastor Timothy L. Seay is a man of vision, which exceeds the borders of shepherding the local church of Crossover. His vision includes changing lives, families and the world outside of Crossover Church to impacting the lives of those within the community and, locally, national and international.

Jesus commands His disciples to not only serve within their local churches but to GO into all the world, sharing God's love, compassion and message of hope.

Through Crossover's Outreach & Mission, we are fulfilling that commission to manifest God's love to those without hope, the unsaved, hurting and the less fortunate in our surrounding community and internationally.

It has been stated that "people don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care."

"By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world's goods, and see his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?" 1John 3:16-17

Take a look at a few ways we are
changing lives, families and the world....

Living Now
Changing lives, families and the world through television outreach.

Food Pantry
Through partnership with Capital Area Food-bank, other food agencies, and donations, we share God's love and hope to those in need, by providing food assistance to those within the Hyattsville and surrounding Prince Georges County area. In addition, we provide Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets.

Clothing Closet
Things many take for granted such as having a suit for job interview or being able to clothe your infant and children isn't the case for many in this world. Through our Clothing Closet, we provide families with clothing assistance by providing new or items in great condition.

Adopt-A-School Program
We have adopted Hyattsville Elementary School and assistance to low-income families with food, counsel, clothing and uniform assistance. In addition, we have an After-Care program, providing care and mentoring to low-income families.

Back-to-School Supply Bash in August Provides families in the community and students of Hyattsville Elementary backpack and school supplies. This is a great time to share the gospel and pray for families annually.

Operation Liberia
In addition to providing missionary financial support, we provide teaching tools and resources for Bible Study programs in Liberia.

Friends-4-Life
"A friend loves at all times." Proverbs 17:17 Friends-4-Life is a trained volunteer who listens and provides care, practical assistance, emotional support and spiritual encouragement to pregnant women. Friends-4-Life also works in partnership with pregnancy centers. Meets monthly. mbenson@bethelgroup.com
