Pastor Ivan McDowell is a founding member of Crossover Church and served as the first worship leader. He was also the first minister to be licensed after the founding of the church. Currently, he serves as the Assistant Minister of Music and oversees multiple areas, including Multimedia Ministry and Men’s Ministry.
Pastor Ivan's joy is in hearing the voices of the congregation worship the Lord in unity. He loves to see the people of God renewed, convicted, and encouraged through radical worship. With a focus to create an atmosphere where people can usher in the presence of God, Pastor Ivan has an aspiration to teach the body of Christ what it means to worship in their daily lives. He offers his gifts of various instrumental abilities and adds a contemporary flair to the worship experience at Crossover Church.

Pastor Ivan is a native of Washington, DC, and is married to Karen, his wife of 25 years. They have three adult children and currently reside in Hyattsville, Maryland.
